Gary Paiva | Contemporary Fine Artist

Based in Toronto, Ontario, contemporary artist Gary Paiva creates striking abstract works defined by a unique fusion of painterly textures, graphic linework, spray-painted silhouettes, and fluid organic shapes.

Working primarily in mixed media, Gary’s practice explores the interplay between structural form and spontaneous colour fields. His compositions challenge conventional perspectives by layering bold visual motifs with subtle, tailored shadows. Each piece is designed to disrupt ordinary surface space, inviting viewers to uncover hidden depth and shifting narratives upon every glance.

Active in the Toronto contemporary art scene, Gary has exhibited at notable local spaces including the John B. Aird Gallery and Stockyard Project Space. He is currently featured in Local Colours at Remote Gallery, continuing to build a distinct presence across Canadian contemporary art spaces.
